dotPH wins Best Website Award

The dotPH website won Best Website in the E-services category at the 11th Digital Filipino Web Awards.
The winners were chosen based on a numbers tracking process including Search Engine and Social Media Visibility, Website Traffic and Stickiness, and Technical Performance.
Other winners included the websites of top companies in the Philippines, including sulit.com.ph, ebay.ph, globe.com.ph and jobstreet.com.ph. A majority of the winners use .PH domains for their websites, reflecting the growing importance of local domains in driving traffic and revenues.

Affiliate Program Update

The dotPH Affiliate Program will close down on February 16, 2012.
Please make sure all domain referrals are paid for by February 15, otherwise they will not be eligible for commission. All pending commissions will be released, regardless of whether they meet the minimum required.

weather.com.ph sells for $5,000.00

PH names steadily increasing in value
The domain name weather.com.ph recently sold for $5,000.00 in a private sale brokered by dotPH, the Philippine Domain Registry.
The sale even made a splash internationally. DNjournal.com, the domain industry news source, ranked it #13 on the list of highest country-code domain sales for that period. It beat out other domains from Germany, the US, China and the UK.

It's Official: The Philippines is Now PH

For the longest time, the Philippines has been known by the initials “RP,” for “Republic of the Philippines.”
However, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will now be using the initials “PH” when referring to the Philippines. This is good news for anyone who has registered a .PH domain, since the initials PH will be getting more exposure and becomes more closely identified with the Philippines.
The DFA believes that the use of the ISO-designated country code PH will lessen confusion since RP also refers to the Republics of Poland, Portugal Panama, Paraguay and Peru.
